Me and my sister went to Venice Italy in November. And since then, we have been planning to go back. For years, my friends have asked me to go with them to their trips but I always declined because I didn’t have the desire to go. I knew I would travel at some point but I would want to do that with my parents and siblings. So in November, for my sister’s birthday, I am glad we went. We bought our tickets on a Saturday and we were on the plane Thursday. We spent 3 days in Venice and it opened my eyes to see the world differently than before. It made me realize that there is so much more to explore and experience. That there is a different way of living, and it waiting for me to discover.

I plan to travel more, very soon. This is a good goal to have. It motivates me to cut down on unnecessary expenses and figure out ways to have a side hustle. And hopefully through these efforts, I will be able to support our travels.

In the meantime, while still working towards this goal, it dawned on me that I don’t need to wait until I am financially capable of travelling outside the country before I enjoy my family’s company. I can spend time with them in the park, drive to nearby towns, prepare special meals for them and even just having coffee at Starbucks. Any moment with my family is special wherever it may be.
